Service line 02 — Protecting people, assets and know-how

Safety & Security

We develop protection concepts, take on the role of security manager and use physical penetration tests to check whether existing measures hold up in an emergency. Since March 2026, the KRITIS-Dachgesetz has required operators of critical facilities to carry out their own risk assessments and resilience measures.

Protection concepts We develop protection concepts for sites, buildings and the people in them.

The security technology blends into the architecture and preserves its appearance: being protected and moving freely are not a contradiction.

We recommend a modular system of electronic systems, organisation and physical security, tailored to your requirements. Because technology and organisation come from one plan, no gaps open up between the components.

Components

  • Perimeter protection, building envelope security, video and alarm systems
  • Protection zones and emergency plans
  • Organisation: responsibilities, procedures and briefing of everyone involved
  • Security engineering advice for architects, from the planning phase onwards
Outsourcing the security manager We take on the role of security manager for your company.

Together we agree a monthly volume of hours based on your needs and an initial analysis of the existing security measures. This keeps costs predictable.

Components

  • Step-by-step development of an integrated security management system
  • Security advice, including during acute security incidents
  • Functional checks and ongoing optimisation of the security management system
Physical penetration testing and vulnerability analysis We test structural, technical and personnel security components on site and show where improvements are needed.

These are physical tests at your premises, not IT penetration tests.

It starts with an analysis of your security management system. Our specialists then test the security installations and the security staff deployed. This makes vulnerabilities visible before damage occurs.

Components

  • Analysis of the existing security management system
  • Perimeter protection test
  • Access control test
  • Video surveillance test
  • Alarm system test
  • Security staff test
  • Evacuation test
  • Mailroom and switchboard test

Elements of security management

Security follows the goals and processes of the company. It depends on economic conditions as much as on individual employees.

01

Employee safety

All measures that serve personal safety: access control via reception or badge readers, screening of incoming mail, fire protection.

02

Buildings, equipment, processes

Key procedures and systems are redundant or have fallback options. Contingency plans keep disruptions manageable, such as a broken supply chain.

03

Information

Security-relevant data and business information need protection. They must only ever reach the right recipients.

04

Cost-effectiveness

Security serves the company’s goals and must be economically justifiable. Excessive measures cost a lot, achieve little and end up slowing processes down.
